Design Manager – UI/UX

Foster City, CA 94404 (Onsite)
Full-Time / Direct-Hire with WinWire
We are seeking a Design System Manager to lead the strategy, development, and governance of our enterprise design system. This role will drive consistency and scalability across digital experiences by bridging Figma-based design systems, CMS component architecture, and emerging AI-enabled design capabilities.
Skills / Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in design systems, UX engineering, or front-end development, Advanced expertise in Figma (components, auto-layout, tokens; AI features a plus) and working in cross-functional, enterprise environments
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with CMS component modeling (Sitecore, AEM, or similar), strong understanding of component-based architecture and front-end development (HTML/CSS/React preferred)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Secondary Skills / Good to have
  • Exposure to analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.) for UX improvement
  • Basic understanding of APIs and backend integration (for better collaboration with engineering)
  • Familiarity with design ops and scaling global design systems

Job / Role Description
  • Own and evolve the enterprise design system across Figma and CMS platforms
  • Build and maintain scalable Figma libraries (components, variants, design tokens)
  • Translate designs into CMS-ready components (e.g., Sitecore/SXA or equivalent) in partnership with engineering
  • Ensure alignment between design components and production implementations
  • Leverage Figma AI capabilities to improve speed, automation, and design workflows
  • Establish governance, standards, and adoption frameworks across teams
  • Partner cross-functionally with Design Agencies, Engineering, and Content Operations
  • Drive design system adoption, measure usage, and reduce duplication
  • Analytical mindset; Communicate effectively with internal and customer stakeholders
  • Provide constructive feedback during code reviews and be open to receiving feedback on your own code
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking; Capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently
