At First Citizens Bank, we're seeking a strategic and execution-focused Manager, Zafin Platform to lead the delivery, governance, and ongoing optimization of the Zafin platform supporting deposit products across the General Bank, including Consumer, Business, and Commercial Banking.

This role serves as a critical bridge between business strategy and technology execution, partnering closely with Deposit Pricing, Product, Treasury, Technology, and Risk teams to enable pricing agility, promotional offerings, and relationship-based pricing strategies.

The successful candidate will oversee platform strategy, system enhancements, release management, governance, and a specialized team responsible for delivering scalable and controlled pricing solutions that support growth, profitability, and customer value.

Responsibilities
Strategic Platform Leadership
  • Own the Zafin platform roadmap supporting Consumer, Business, and Commercial deposit products.
  • Partner with business leaders and technology teams to align platform capabilities with strategic objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve pricing, offer management, personalization, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive platform enhancements that improve scalability, performance, and business value.
Pricing Enablement & Business Partnership
  • Collaborate with Deposit Pricing, Product, and Treasury teams to translate pricing strategies into executable system capabilities.
  • Enable efficient implementation of:
    • Interest rate changes
    • Promotional campaigns
    • Relationship-based pricing
    • Segment-specific pricing strategies
  • Provide guidance on platform capabilities and operational considerations impacting pricing execution.
  • Ensure pricing decisions are implemented accurately, consistently, and in accordance with established controls.
Platform Delivery & System Management
  • Lead platform configuration, administration, testing, support, enhancements, and change management activities.
  • Oversee system upgrades, releases, and ongoing optimization efforts.
  • Partner with Technology teams to support integrations with core banking, servicing, and digital platforms.
  • Ensure disciplined SDLC, testing, release management, and production support practices.
Governance, Controls & Risk Management
  • Establish and maintain governance processes supporting pricing execution and platform administration.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and audit standards.
  • Maintain appropriate controls over system access, configuration changes, approvals, and documentation.
  • Support audit readiness and traceability of pricing-related activities.
Data & Reporting
  • Support reporting and monitoring related to:
    • Pricing execution effectiveness
    • Campaign and offer performance
    • Platform utilization and operational performance
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of platform data and reporting outputs.
  • Partner with analytics and business teams to identify optimization opportunities and business insights.
People Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of business systems professionals.
  • Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience in Banking, Financial Services, Fintech, Business Systems Management, Information Technology, or a related field or High School Diploma/GED and 10+ years of relevant experience
Preferred
  • Experience with the Zafin platform
  • Experience supporting deposit pricing or offer management solutions
  • Knowledge of consumer, business, and commercial banking products
  • Familiarity with core banking systems and related integrations
  • Knowledge of ALM, liquidity, and deposit profitability drivers
  • PMP certification or related project management experience
  • Experience working in Agile or product-based delivery environments
