Job Summary:

They are seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist to use data warehousing and business intelligence tools to assist management in strategic decision making and to design and implement dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators.
Responsibilities:
• Use data warehousing and business intelligence tools to source, transform, analyze, and provide access to data to assist management in strategic decision making.
• Design, document, and implement dashboards, KPIs, reports, and thresholds to monitor key performance indicators, provide insights, and identify notable trends.
• Collaborate with management to establish objectives, standards, and strategies for delivering updates and changes to reporting and analytical procedures.
• Identify and isolate emerging trends that will assist in making internal data driven decisions.
• Effectively test hypotheses and communicate results to internal stakeholders.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on results from marketing campaigns and other acquisition or usage initiatives.
• (Weighted 20%) Data Warehousing & Business Intelligence Tools + Use knowledge & experience with analytics tools and techniques + Assess data sources and coordinate with other teams for required data sets

Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in data analytics, OR an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of analytics experience. Experience in the financial services industry is strongly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for writing complex queries, joining large datasets, and optimizing data retrieval.
• Hands-on experience building, publishing, and maintaining enterprise-level dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
• Technical knowledge and understanding of the debit and credit card infrastructure and payments landscape preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and financial analysis skills, with the ability to translate complex datasets into concise, actionable business recommendations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel for financial modeling).
• Experience applying statistical methods, mathematical techniques, forecasting, and cost-benefit analyses using industry tools (such as JMP, SPSS, or SAS)
• Experience managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals.
• Strong and effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Skilled at presenting findings and conclusions clearly and concisely.
Preferred:
• Experience working with third-party analytics tools and cloud data warehouses (such as Alteryx, and Snowflake).
• Basic familiarity with Python or R for automating data workflows and statistical analysis.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data modeling best practices.
