Director of Operations

Dental / Healthcare Practice (Multi-Location)

Location: Manhattan, NY

Work Environment: Onsite

Compensation: $175,000–$200,000 annually

Position Overview

This role supports a high-end, patient-centered dental organization focused on comprehensive, relationship-based care. The Director of Operations partners closely with the Founder to lead day-to-day operations, translate vision into execution, and ensure a consistent, elevated experience for both patients and team members across multiple locations.

This position is ideal for a grounded, organized, and emotionally steady leader who thrives in a high-standard environment and excels at building structure, accountability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple practice locations
  • Develop and implement workflows, systems, and protocols to improve efficiency
  • Monitor scheduling flow, staffing levels, and patient pathways
  • Ensure treatment rooms, equipment, and clinical flow are optimized

Strategic Execution

  • Partner closely with the Founder to turn vision into actionable plans
  • Create timelines, processes, and accountability for initiatives
  • Maintain momentum and follow-through across departments
  • Filter and prioritize requests to protect executive focus

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Lead and support team members with clarity, fairness, and consistency
  • Conduct regular team check-ins and performance reviews
  • Provide coaching, conflict resolution, and accountability
  • Foster a culture centered on excellence, warmth, and patient care

Patient Experience

  • Ensure a premium, attentive, and consistent patient experience
  • Oversee front-desk communication, concierge interactions, and follow-up

Systems & Quality Control

  • Build and refine systems for scheduling, communication, and follow-up
