ONSITE IN VALENCIA


The Category Management Analyst will support the Director of Category Management and Marketing by providing data and category insights to help drive business growth, understand market share, category trends and elevate customer partnerships. Using category management principals and shopper insights tools this position will support the marketing and sales team with insights and analysis for planning purposes. The role will interface with others in the marketing department along with sales department and other departments within the organization.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes IRI, Nielsen, Numerator and Market Track data along with other industry sources to identify opportunities
  • Works closely with Sr. Director and Sr. Manager Trade Marketing to prepare customer meeting decks and make recommendations for customer planning and marketing activities
  • Analyze category performance to assist Sr. Director understand consumer trends and market demographics
  • Analyze results of customer marketing activations and sales performance
  • Provides insights on industry competitors and customers to support decisions made by management.
  • Aids in consumer research to better understand consumer trends and opportunities that lead to discovering consumer purchase decisions
  • Supports marketing team with consumer survey work focused on concept testing and consumer insights
  • Supports marketing team with media responses and press releases, including current trends at retail and shopper insights
  • Creates reports for customers and management looking at Total US, market and customer data to help drive key business strategy and provide additional value to customers.
  • Stays current on industry developments and trends.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications and participating in industry organizations.
  • Process and codes invoices through Accounts Payable for vendors whom they work directly with. 
  • Maintains and submits back up paperwork when necessary and updates budget spreadsheet with direction. 
  • Resolves accounting discrepancies or irregularities with Finance Department and vendors
  • Performs other assignments as directed by manager.

Minimum Educational and Experience Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 3 - 5 years’ Experience in data analysis and category management including analyzing retailer data and presenting key findings and recommendations
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Business, Agriculture Economics, or related field.
  • Driver's License required
  • Utilizes IRI, Nielsen, Numerator and Market Track data along with other industry sources to identify opportunities
  • Works closely with Sr. Director and Sr. Manager Trade Marketing to prepare customer meeting decks and make recommendations for customer planning and marketing activitie
  • Proficient in MS-Office software, principally Excel and PowerPoint,
  • Ability to find the story within the data and make recommendations for solutions based on information gathered and analyzed
  • Data thinker; enjoy working with numbers. Proficient quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Propensity for connecting with others; can engage with customers, internal cross-functional teams and company stakeholders
  • Power BI experience a positive.
  • Flexible, collaborative and adaptable to a fast paced, shifting work environment.
  • Performs other assignments as directed by manager.
