Position Summary:
The Office of the Secretary and Party Affairs (OSPA) is responsible for planning and executing all official party business involving the membership of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). In addition to facilitating the Party's presidential nominating process, OSPA oversees the institutional affairs of the Democratic Party, including the DNC general sessions, four standing committees, and maintaining the Party's Charter and Bylaws. OSPA is also responsible for all the technical logistics required to execute events including, managing vendor relationships, building staffing plans, and conducting event space walkthroughs. TheOSPA Associateprovides operational and administrative support to the Office of the Secretary and Party Affairs. This role reports jointly to the Events and Party Affairs Directors.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the execution of daily workflows, scheduling, tracking deliverables, and troubleshoot operational hurdles.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and ensure timely completion of departmental memos.
  • Assist with venue and vendor sourcing through RFP research for DNC and Standing Committee meetings.
  • Draft and send member mass communications via email and peer-to-peer texting.
  • Monitor all incoming external communications, ensuring all inquiries are tracked and routed to the appropriate team members for response.
  • Maintain and track meeting supply inventories, proactively creating restock lists to ensure all operational needs are met ahead of major events.
  • Helping coordinate informative trainings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage the weekly reporting cycle by drafting status updates, distributing them to the team, and maintaining the master departmental archive.
  • Provide travel and logistics support as needed, including booking transportation and lodging.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.

Salary: The starting salary for the OSPA Associate position is $60,000.00, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends and some travel during some parts of the year. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
