Job description

Campaign Manager

The Campaign Manager will serve as the senior strategic leader and operational executive responsible for all aspects of Kelda Roys' gubernatorial campaign. This position requires an experienced political campaign professional who can build and execute a comprehensive campaign strategy capable of winning both a competitive Democratic primary and top-tier general election in August and November 2026. This is a full-time, at will position located in Madison, Wisconsin. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive campaign strategy, messaging, and operations plan
  • Oversee all campaign departments including field, communications, digital, finance, and political operations
  • Build and manage campaign staff, consulting team, volunteers, and key stakeholder relationships
  • Ensure campaign compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
  • Manage campaign cash flow and budget, resource planning, and operational efficiency
  • Serve as primary liaison between candidate and campaign operations
  • Develop and execute voter contact programs, including field operations and GOTV efforts
  • Oversee polling, research, and data analysis to inform strategic decision-making

Qualifications & Skills

  • Track record of managing successful primary and general election campaigns, preferably at statewide level
  • Understanding of Wisconsin political landscape, Democratic coalition building, and electoral dynamics
  • Experience with campaign management tools (NGP-VAN, digital platforms, polling, etc.) & fundraising
  • Proven ability to manage complex operations, multiple departments, and diverse stakeholders
  • Strong budget management experience and frugality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
