Job description

Department: Fundraising / Donor Services
Reports To: VP, Fundraising
Position Type: Full-Time
Location: Fort Worth, TX

POSITION SUMMARY

The Digital Fundraising & Campaign Manager is responsible for turning approved fundraising strategies into well-executed, measurable campaigns across TBN's digital channels.

This role combines digital fundraising, campaign management, fundraising copywriting, project management, performance reporting, and testing. The ideal candidate is both a strong marketer and an excellent writer who can take a campaign from strategy through execution while coordinating effectively with Fundraising, Marketing, Digital, Creative, Traffic, IS, and other internal partners.

The position will manage day-to-day execution of digital fundraising campaigns across email, web, SMS, landing pages, donor journeys, and other digital channels. The manager will also serve as a primary writer for routine digital fundraising communications, helping develop compelling donor-centered messaging that clearly communicates ministry impact and motivates response.

This is not simply a project-management position. The successful candidate must be able to understand the fundraising objective, develop persuasive content, manage execution, interpret performance, and recommend improvements based on results.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Fundraising & Campaign Execution

  • Manage execution of approved fundraising campaigns across email, web, SMS, landing pages, donor journeys, and other digital channels.
  • Translate fundraising strategy into actionable campaign plans, deliverables, schedules, and channel requirements.
  • Manage campaigns from initial planning through launch, optimization, reporting, and follow-up.
  • Support donor acquisition, first-gift, second-gift, recurring-giving, reactivation, and other donor-growth strategies.
  • Ensure campaigns remain aligned with approved Fundraising priorities, audiences, offers, messaging, and objectives.
  • Identify executional issues early and proactively recommend solutions.

Fundraising Copywriting & Content Development

  • Serve as a primary writer for routine digital fundraising communications, including:
    • fundraising emails and email series;
    • landing pages;
    • SMS messages;
    • donor nurture and follow-up journeys;
    • campaign messaging;
    • headlines, calls to action, subject lines, and preview text;
    • digital fundraising promotions and related donor communications.
  • Write donor-centered copy that connects TBN's ministry impact with a clear and compelling opportunity to give.
  • Adapt messaging appropriately by audience, channel, donor lifecycle stage, and campaign objective.
  • Edit and optimize copy for clarity, emotional relevance, response, conversion, and consistency with TBN's ministry voice.
  • Develop multiple messaging and creative variations for testing when appropriate.
  • Use AI-enabled tools thoughtfully to improve speed, efficiency, research, ideation, optimization, and content development while maintaining appropriate human judgment, accuracy, voice, and quality.

Campaign & Project Management

  • Own campaign schedules, timelines, dependencies, approvals, trafficking, and quality assurance.
  • Maintain accurate project plans and workflows in Wrike or other designated project-management systems.
  • Coordinate required assets, copy, approvals, links, tracking, landing pages, creative, and technical requirements before launch.
  • Ensure campaigns are complete, accurate, tested, and launch-ready before activation.
  • Maintain clear visibility into campaign status, deadlines, risks, and outstanding decisions.
  • Manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day Fundraising liaison for active campaigns with Marketing, Digital, Creative, Traffic, IS, and other internal teams.
  • Translate Fundraising requirements into clear executional direction for cross-functional partners.
  • Build productive working relationships across departments and help move campaigns efficiently through internal processes.
  • Surface resource needs, risks, conflicts, or significant changes before they affect campaign delivery.
  • Work closely with the VP, Fundraising and VP, Chief Growth Strategist on approved fundraising and growth priorities.

Performance, Reporting & Optimization

  • Support development and maintenance of clear digital fundraising performance reporting.
  • Track campaign results against defined objectives and KPIs.
  • Translate digital metrics into understandable donor and revenue outcomes.
  • Evaluate performance across areas such as response, conversion, revenue, donor acquisition, engagement, and donor progression.
  • Partner with Fundraising leadership and analytics resources to identify meaningful trends and opportunities.
  • Recommend improvements to messaging, offers, audiences, channels, timing, and donor journeys based on results.
  • Support structured testing of subject lines, creative, offers, calls to action, landing experiences, audience segments, and other campaign variables.
  • Apply learnings from completed campaigns to future execution.

Quality & Brand Stewardship

  • Ensure donor-facing communications are accurate, compelling, consistent, and appropriate for a Christian ministry audience.
  • Maintain high standards for grammar, proofreading, links, calls to action, facts, offers, tracking, and final campaign QA.
  • Protect donor trust by ensuring fundraising communications clearly and accurately represent ministry impact and giving opportunities.
  • Partner with appropriate internal teams to ensure campaigns follow TBN brand, creative, digital, and technical standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, fundraising, nonprofit management, digital media, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in digital marketing, fundraising, campaign management, direct response, nonprofit communications, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage integrated campaigns across multiple digital channels.
  • Excellent fundraising, marketing, or direct-response writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to write compelling email, landing-page, SMS, and donor-conversion copy.
  • Strong project-management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple campaigns, stakeholders, deadlines, and dependencies.
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing metrics and the ability to understand campaign performance and conversion data.
  • Experience working with email marketing, CRM, CMS, SMS, analytics, or related digital platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage campaign QA.
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems proactively, and bring recommendations rather than simply escalate issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively across departments and functional teams.

Preferred

  • Experience in nonprofit, ministry, faith-based, or donor-supported organizations.
  • Experience with digital fundraising, direct response, donor acquisition, recurring giving, or donor lifecycle marketing.
  • Experience developing automated donor journeys, nurture campaigns, or conversion programs.
  • Experience with A/B testing and digital optimization.
  • Experience with Wrike or similar project-management platforms.
  • Experience using AI tools to support marketing, writing, campaign development, research, analysis, or workflow efficiency.
  • Familiarity with fundraising KPIs such as donor conversion, average gift, recurring giving, acquisition, retention, and revenue performance.

CORE COMPETENCIES

The successful candidate will be:

  • An excellent writer. Able to turn strategy and ministry impact into clear, human, persuasive fundraising communications.
  • A strong campaign manager. Able to move complex work from idea to execution without requiring constant senior-level intervention.
  • Digitally fluent. Comfortable with email, web, SMS, landing pages, donor journeys, testing, and digital performance.
  • Data-aware. Able to understand what campaign results are saying and use those insights to improve future work.
  • Highly accountable. Takes ownership of work, anticipates problems, and follows through.
  • Collaborative. Works effectively across Fundraising, Marketing, Digital, Creative, Traffic, IS, and other teams.
  • Organized and disciplined. Manages details without losing sight of the campaign objective.
  • Resourceful. Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment and finding practical solutions.
  • Mission-minded. Understands that fundraising is ultimately about connecting donors with the opportunity to advance ministry impact.

MINISTRY ALIGNMENT

The Digital Fundraising & Campaign Manager should be comfortable working within and supporting TBN's Christian ministry mission and communicating with donors in a manner that reflects biblical faith, generosity, stewardship, ministry impact, and the hope of Jesus.

The position requires sensitivity to TBN's donor audience and the ability to communicate ministry impact authentically, respectfully, and persuasively.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

Success in this role will be reflected in:

  • consistent, on-time execution of approved fundraising campaigns;
  • high-quality fundraising copy requiring minimal senior-level rewriting;
  • improved campaign organization, workflow, and cross-functional coordination;
  • accurate and reliable campaign QA;
  • improved visibility into campaign performance;
  • increased use of testing and optimization;
  • measurable improvement in digital donor response and conversion;
  • stronger donor journeys across acquisition, first gift, second gift, recurring giving, and other lifecycle stages;
  • and a meaningful reduction in routine campaign production and execution requiring VP-level involvement.

ROLE IMPACT

This position serves as the operational bridge between Fundraising strategy and day-to-day activation.

The Digital Fundraising & Campaign Manager will help TBN build a stronger internal digital fundraising capability by combining four disciplines that are increasingly essential to donor growth:

fundraising content + digital execution + campaign management + performance optimization

The result should be better-executed campaigns, stronger donor communications, clearer performance accountability, and greater capacity for Fundraising leadership to focus on strategy, growth, and ministry impact.
