Overview of the Role:

  • This position is responsible for driving weekly forecast reviews ensuring accurate demand forecasts, optimizing inventory and monitoring/tracking key metrics.
  • This role will play a critical role in communicating any potential risks/opportunities with strategic plan and recommending corrective actions.
  • This role will drive Amazon/ecommerce S&OP meetings to review actual performance vs. forecast and recommend adjustments to the purchasing plan and sales initiatives based on recent activity of what will happen.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Develop SKU level sales forecast for Amazon, ecommerce, professional, and DI channels using historical data (sell in & sell out), current trends, customer forecasts (sell in & sell out), syndicated market data, and consumer funnel (traffic, conversion, spend) with a focus on Amzn
  • Measured primarily on improvements in forecast accuracy and reduction in forecast bias
  • Analyze key metrics such as traffic, conversion rates, and sales velocity to identify trends and adjust demand plans accordingly.
  • Maintain a collaborative cross-functional process with sales and operations teams to ensure any changes in item presence, promotions/stock ups, price, competition, etc are accounted for
  • Manage and maintain POS reporting for ecommerce and Amazon accounts
  • Serve as a key member of the team to own operational deliverables, such as reporting including the narrative development for what is and will happen
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Analyze and troubleshoot demand related issues in a timely and accurate manner
  • Collaborate and develop weekly/monthly business reviews with key stakeholders
  • Responsible for the design/build and deployment of the key processes within demand planning
  • Work with sales and operations to minimize slow moving inventory

Successful Candidate Profile:


  • 1-3+ years of planning experience preferred
  • Understanding of Amazon tools a plus
  • Experience with combining, cleaning, and analyzing data.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills with demonstrated knowledge of Excel, Access, and PowerBi (a plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Focus in Marketing, Math or Business preferred.
  • Ability to work individually and under minimal supervision, but keeps supervisor updated on key news
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Supports others with their assignments.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and formal presentation skills.
