What does a demand planning analyst do?

A Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for forecasting customer demand to ensure that a company has the right amount of inventory to meet sales goals without overstocking or running out of products. They analyze sales trends, market data, and historical information to develop accurate demand forecasts. These professionals often collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to align production and inventory strategies with expected demand.
