Job Overview
Jensen Hughes is looking for a motivated and well-spoken inside sales representative to join our global Fire and Life Safety team in our Southeast Region, specifically in our Atlanta, GA office on a hybrid work schedule. The candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new leads/opportunities, communicating with clients, understanding their needs, connecting those needs to our services, and ensuring a smooth sales process. This candidate is expected to be able to retain long term relationship clients while expanding services, close sales, and meet sales targets.
Our goal is to hire a candidate that is eager to expand our Fire & Life Safety and our Process Safety service lines through existing and new clients, cross selling additional services, and identify additional opportunities for global company wide growth. The candidate will make use of skills in communication and sales to highlight the advantages of our services in numerous vertical markets.
This will be a full time salaried position without commission.
Responsibilities
  • Develop sales opportunities by exploring and identifying potential clients, soliciting new clients, building rapport with clients,
  • Following up on leads and opportunities
  • Conveying clear and detailed explanations of our services.
  • Collaborating with technical colleagues in preparing proposals, and members of our marketing team preparing qualifications.
  • Communicating with existing and potential clients and making outbound calls to potential customers.
  • Responding to customers' questions, coordinating with technical colleagues, and sending additional information as needed
  • Creating/maintaining relationships, while managing existing client accounts, supporting retaining existing services for renewal, and identifying value-added opportunities.
  • Support the Business Development and Operations teams with a general understanding of the current pipeline and help the team move proposals through the pipeline and secure orders.
  • Regularly maintain sales data of current and potential clients, pipeline, orders, and projects/contracts up for renewal.
  • Explaining the value of our services and how they meet the prospect/existing client's needs,
  • Knowing when to engage operations and subject matter experts to support business development
  • Keeping up with industry trends and updates, as well as staying informed about competing firms as and identifying risks within existing clients
  • Proactive planning and support of annual growth initiatives

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, and/or two (2) plus years' experience as an Inside Sales Representative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
  • Experience with government contract tracking systems such as GovWin, Deltek, or similar platforms used to monitor and research federal, state, or local government opportunities preferred.
  • Experience working for a professional services firm preferred.
  • General knowledge and confidence using computer databases and menu-driven reports.
  • Self-starter who works well independently and is self-motivated, with a bias for action.
  • Project coordination and organizational skills, attention to detail, and initiative to follow through.
  • Consistently perform at a high level in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.
  • Work with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
  • Exceptional Customer Service and strong listening skills.
  • Able to look at things multidimensionally and able to come to a unique and innovative plan or solution if a problem is identified.

National Pay Range
$60,000-$90,000 USD
