Job Description: Industrial & Defense Sales 

Position Summary

NOV is seeking a results-driven Industrial & Defense Sales Manager to develop and scale a diversified contract manufacturing revenue stream outside of the traditional oil & gas sector. This role will focus on acquiring and growing customers in industrial, aerospace, and defense-adjacent markets, with an emphasis on machining and fabrication services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities in industrial, aerospace, and defense-adjacent sectors
  • Build and manage a $2.5M-$4.0M qualified pipeline within the first 6 months
  • Establish relationships across 10-15 target accounts
  • Drive entry into RFQ cycles and manage opportunities through close
  • Achieve 25-35% pipeline conversion to bookings
  • Deliver $1.2M-$2.0M incremental revenue in Year 1
  • Collaborate with operations on capacity, pricing, and delivery alignment
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and forecasting

Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years of B2B sales experience in contract manufacturing or industrial services
  • Bachler's degree in relevant field preferred 
  • Experience selling into industrial, aerospace, or defense-adjacent markets
  • Proven ability to build pipeline and close new business
  • Strong understanding of RFQ-driven sales cycles
  • Ability to operate independently in a growth-focused role

Performance Expectations

Minimum expectations include $1M qualified pipeline within 6 months, $1M in bookings within 12 months, and demonstrated growth in non-oil & gas accounts.
