Job Description

As a Payroll Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll processes. You will be responsible for performing various tasks related to payroll administration and analysis, including but not limited to managing payroll, auditing payroll data, resolving payroll discrepancies, and generating payroll reports. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of payroll regulations and best practices.

Reports to Head of Payroll.

Oversee and support weekly payroll, accurate allocation on tip sheets in a timely fashion manner for multiple locations across US and Canada.

  • Generate and distribute payroll reports for accuracy; process adjustments if needed
  • Maintains accurate payroll records for employees on a weekly basis.
  • Coordinate with Managed Payroll team to issue manual checks when needed.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or errors in payroll processing.
  • Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reports needed changes.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping confidential information
  • Coordinate with the Dayforce Managed Team to submit and track levies, garnishments, and other third-party deductions.
  • Analyze payroll data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues
  • Generate and distribute payroll reports to stakeholders as needed.
  • Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline payroll processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams and the Dayforce Managed Team.
  • Document payroll procedures and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in processing payroll required
  • Experience with multi-state US payroll, and Canada (Ontario Province) payroll preferred
  • Experience with restaurant and retail payroll, including tips, preferred
  • Experience with Dayforce Payroll system preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently and with precision, especially with numbers
  • Solid organizational, multitasking and time management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll process, tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and pivot tables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

The annual salary for this position is: $70,000-$75,000
