Human Resources Recruitment Coordinator

The Bronx District Attorney's Office is seeking a skilled and highly engaged HR Recruitment Coordinator. Human Resources (HR) plays a crucial role in shaping the agency culture, promoting career growth, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring the sustainability of the agency. The Human Resources Coordinator supports the agency's Human Resources functions including personnel services, classification, recruitment, and civil service administration. This Human Resource Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for performing recruitment, on-boarding, and personnel activities.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Creating job postings and ensuring that job descriptions follow citywide requirements and DCAS policies.
  • Reviewing applicant resumes and qualifications to determine suitability for meeting the minimum qualifications of the position.
  • Coordinating the logistics of candidate interviews, including scheduling, panel coordination, and candidate communication.
  • Processing new hires, transfers, and promotions in compliance with citywide requirements and DCAS policies.
  • Initiating all tracking and work processes in the recruitment and processing of the pre-selected candidates; ensuring that the candidate completes the requested action.
  • Entering data for various personnel transactions within NYCAPS, as well as generating HR reports.
  • Representing the agency at hiring events (community fairs, job fairs, and career fairs).
  • Managing civil service appointment list process and facilitating hiring pools.
  • Processing civil service transactions including DP-72 and DP-189.
  • Facilitating the onboarding of new hires and transfers by ensuring completion of all necessary documents and information have been reviewed and submitted, including civil service processing.
  • Serving as the main point of contact for selected candidates, managing communications, job offers, and onboarding paperwork (background checks, fingerprinting, etc.).
  • Reviewing and maintaining all pertinent pre-onboarding documentation.
  • Managing full-cycle recruitment within NYCAPS eHire.
  • Assisting employees with navigating NYCAPS / ESS.
  • Providing updates on personnel transactions, positions, and vacancies as requested.
