Job description

Position Overview:

We will consider candidates located near our offices in Itasca, IL, Norwalk, CT or Flower Mound, TX or possibly remote for the right candidate.

The Sales Development Representative will champion the sales function inside the organization to develop, generate and promote additional revenue for Inventory Finance by actively reaching out to current and new dealer clients in making and closing financing deals. The individual will provide support to Sales Representatives across all of Mitsubishi HC Capital America, Inc. (MHCA)’s platforms and representatives and Dealers throughout the credit lending process and will also assist in marketing and customer engagement activities to promote all of MHCA’s financing opportunities and offerings.

Commitment to Internal Control:

The incumbent must understand, abide, and uphold the system of internal controls related to the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contact and cultivate dealer relationships under established Inventory Finance Programs with leading OEMs across multiple industries. Actively promote the Inventory program and close new Dealer Inventory relationships
  • Establish, track, and meet annual funding targets and objectives for direct sales origination.
  • Develops, maintains, and executes a business plan, including sales strategy KPI’s, to achieve sales objectives and acquire new clients and channel partners.
  • Demonstrate a competitive drive and desire to succeed to achieve goals, key metrics, standard of performance and compliance.
  • Initiate calls, dealer visits and sales outreach for marketing campaigns to develop new financing opportunities and channel partner connections.
  • Actively reaching-out and/or following-up with clients in a timely and expedited manner on approved credit financing deals to get confirmation and closure to driving sales volume and target sales metrics (i.e., margin and PBT) within authorized decision-making capacity.
  • Participate and help strategize on a wholistic Enterprise approach to all MHCA’s business units across North America for targeted OEM & dealer partners
  • Work effectively with Inventory Finance Business Development OEM representatives to help build strategic partnerships and expand business opportunities
  • Follow-up with clients on active opportunities, activity reports, files/proposals, and any other documentation or task necessary to ensure that deals are closed-out and funded.
  • Possess expert knowledge of MHCA finance programs and guidelines in order effectively communicate to dealers, internal/external staff, and customers. Strive to execute the transaction flow as a seamless process, regardless of origin by providing excellent customer support and will follow-up as needed.
  • Collaborates with the sales and operations teams to build relationships, prospect new dealers, and manage existing dealer accounts.
  • Embraces assisting the sales reps across MHCA in the overall effort to generate business opportunities. This includes researching deals, providing marketing materials to new dealers, assisting with regional marketing presentations and/or dealer training upon management’s request.
  • Work collectively with internal groups to research and resolve all dealer concerns.
  • Effectively manage time commitments and scheduling of meetings along with maintaining Salesforce CRM database and administrative functions related to opportunities pipeline

KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators):

  • Reach out to 100% of assigned account targets on a semi-annual basis
  • Hold monthly meetings with each VP-BD to update on progress
  • Create monthly activity reports for each assigned program to share internally and externally
  • Execute on at least 15faceto face dealer visits per month
  • Facilitate at minimum 50 outbound dealer calls per month

Responsibility and Decision-Making Authority:

  • Initiate dealer relationships under targeted OEM established or new programs
  • Establish call and marketing campaigns to contact dealer base and report overall program metrics on the success
  • Act upon and make decisions within documented procedural guidelines.
  • Make recommendations to management on transactions
  • Facilitate incoming dealer support phone calls/facsimile/Internet submission requests from authorized manufacturer dealers accurately and expeditiously.

Education and Experience:

  • Related administrative experience 10+ years; Finance/Banking industry preferred
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience; minimum Associates Degree in Business/Marketing related fields considered

Licensing and Certification: May be required as business needs evolve.

Working Hours:

  • Hours may vary and will require some evening work; frequently requires working 40-45 hours/week depending on business needs.

Tools and Equipment Used:

  • PC, copier, fax, phone, and other typical office equipment

Travel: Less than 50%

Physical Demands:

  • Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment

The position is exempt and the salary will be between $123,000.00 and $151,000.00 with an opportunity to earn commissions.


The salary range is determined and based on internal equity, market data/ranges, applicant's skills, prior relevant experience and education.
