Job description

The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and four days in the office are required. 

S'more about the team:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operational Excellence (OpEx), you will own the delivery of a continuous improvement roadmap for national DC operations.  This roadmap will focus on optimizing the quality and efficiency of material movement through all Canadian distribution centers. From understanding data, defining opportunities, designing solutions & executing on them, you will play a role in all components of process development and change management within our network of facilities.  Additionally, you will be expected to work with and influence a wide range of stakeholders across HelloFresh Canada's fulfillment operations.

Lettuce share what this role will be responsible for:

  • Develop a continuous improvement roadmap focused on achieving and surpassing performance targets in ingredient quality, pick accuracy, waste reduction, and labor efficiency across all Canadian distribution centres
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and OpEx teams and Production teams to validate and align on opportunities, define clear project charters, and develop implementation plans.
  • Lead cross-site calls to develop project plans for implementations, present weekly status updates and facilitate internal and external discussions on project challenges and help drive solutions
  • Identify resource needs and ensure resources are accountable and delivering against their project commitments
  • Coordinate, support and organize project documentation as needed
  • Engage with the workforce, process users, and extended stakeholders to generate ideas and capture opportunities.
  • Leverage Lean Six Sigma best practices to execute root cause analysis, failure modes and effects analysis, corrective actions (using full scope of effectiveness of controls), and implementation/change management
  • Communicate best practices and learning across the organization.
  • Influence a large team of indirect reports including associates, managers, and leaders across HelloFresh
  • Understand our current tech infrastructure and partner with leadership/stakeholders in supply chain domains and product to provide progressive support for systems and data accuracy
  • Solicit feedback from various stakeholder groups and work closely with them to ensure all organizational needs are being considered during operational changes
  • Present updates on OpEx initiatives to a wider audience within the organization to help with general awareness and understanding of our vision and mission
  • Use personal protective and safety equipment and clothing as directed by the employer and report workplace hazards and dangers to the supervisor or employer. 
  • Other duties as assigned

  • 5+ years of experience in Warehouse, Manufacturing, or Production in a management or continuous improvement capacity
  • Preferably with a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Engineering, Business or a related field
  • Strong understanding of OHS and Food Safety and its application in a warehouse and production environment
  • An authentic leader, who's able to build strong relationships, clearly communicate and motivate, and drive accountability at all levels
  • An effective collaborator, who empowers and enables others to share ideas, raises awareness, gets buy-in, and delivers fast and well-rounded solutions to complex problems

  • Professional certifications and/or licenses with Lean Six Sigma preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time
