Reports To: Day Program Director (Day Hours); Residential Program Coordinator (Non-Day Hours)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PMPosition SummaryThe Part-Time Day Program Aide supports the implementation of structured program services, prevocational training, and supported employment activities for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The position assists with delivering person-centered services aligned with Individual Service Plans (ISPs), Personal Care Plans (PCPs), Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), and agency policies.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing daily program services.
  • Implement lesson plans developed by the Day Program Team based on individual preferences and goals.
  • Provide accurate, contemporaneous, and billable daily/monthly documentation.
  • Support individuals in achieving ISP/PCP/BSP goals.
  • Collect and track behavioral data as required.
  • Facilitate community-based activities and promote social inclusion.
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene, dressing, cooking, laundry, shopping, and home maintenance.
  • Assist with medication monitoring under nursing guidance.
  • Respond to emergencies and administer First Aid, CPR, and CPI as required.
  • Transport residents to scheduled activities and appointments as assigned.
  • Assist residents safely on and off vehicles.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in program and residential environments.
  • Participate in staff meetings and required trainings.
  • Adhere to Individual Rights and Abuse, Neglect, and Mistreatment policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
CPR/First Aid and CPI certification required or obtained within designated timeframe.Physical RequirementsAbility to assist individuals with mobility needs and vehicle transfers.
Ability to lift and support individuals as required.
Ability to stand, walk, and engage in physical activity throughout shift.
