Job description

SAP Data MigrationIntroduction

The Data Lead is responsible for ensuring the quality, readiness, and successful migration of local business data into the global SAP S/4HANA landscape, enabling compliant, timely, and disruption-free deployment of standardized global processes in the United States.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage SAP S/4HANA data migration projects
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy throughout the migration process
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and data mapping
  • Develop and execute data migration strategies and plans
  • Provide guidance and support to the team throughout the migration process
  • Monitor and report on project progress and escalate issues as needed
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies
  • Conduct post-migration reviews and ensure data integrity post-go-live
RequirementsRequired Skills
  • 10-12+ years of experience in SAP Data Management, data migration, or ERP transformations
  • Proven hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA data migrations, ideally in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Strong exposure to SAP MDG and at least one major satellite system (e.g., Ariba, Salesforce, IBP)
  • Experience working in large, global programs with geographically phased ("wave") deployments
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management experience with senior business and IT leaders
  • Prior experience working in or with US business units strongly preferred
Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MSc) is a plus
  • Relevant certifications are advantageous, such as: SAP S/4HANA or SAP MDG certifications, Data management or data governance certifications, Project or program management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
