Job description

About S&K Building Services
S&K Building Services is a leading commercial window cleaning and exterior building maintenance company operating across the United States. We partner with property managers, owners, and facility teams to maintain high-rise, mid-rise, and complex commercial properties with a strong focus on safety, quality, and reliability.
S&K has grown through a combination of organic expansion and strategic acquisitions and today operates a multi-branch platform supported by centralized finance, IT, customer success, and operational leadership. As we scale, we are investing in systems, infrastructure, and process discipline to support growth while maintaining a strong, operator-driven culture.
Role Overview
This is S&K's dedicated, in-house technology hire and effectively the owner of our IT and systems function. It blends hands-on system administration with the ownership and judgment needed to bring structure to a multi-branch platform that grew through acquisition. It is designed for someone who is technically hands-on across Microsoft 365, Azure, and identity and access management, but who wants to grow into broader technology leadership.
This position owns day-to-day IT operations, system administration, security hygiene, and vendor coordination while standardizing, documenting, and securing the environment. The goal is to make the business easier to run, easier to scale, and harder to break, ensuring systems, data, and access are reliable and well-controlled across a growing, multi-location platform.
Core Responsibilities
  • Own day-to-day Microsoft 365 and SharePoint administration, and establish SharePoint as the single source of truth for documentation and SOPs
  • Administer identity and access: enforce least-privilege and MFA, standardize provisioning, and clean up legacy admin access
  • Build and run internal IT support (ticketing, Tier 1, etc.) to reduce reliance on outside vendors
  • Maintain a master inventory of software, licenses, vendors, and hardware, and standardize endpoints with consistent security and update controls
  • Stabilize, secure, and document the Azure SQL and Power BI reporting environment, tightening workspace access and keeping refreshes reliable
  • Standardize onboarding and offboarding so access is provisioned and removed promptly
  • Strengthen credential hygiene: eliminate shared logins, centralize credentials in an approved password manager, and rotate inherited admin credentials
  • Automate repetitive, rules-based workflows in partnership with Finance, HR, and Sales
  • Build and maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and checklists
  • Develop a repeatable M&A technology playbook covering data migration, system cutovers, user access, hardware, email/domain transitions, reporting, and day-one security
  • Treat security as a baseline: run periodic access reviews, maintain an incident response plan, and bake security into every new system decision

What This Means at S&K
  • Owns the technology function end-to-end as S&K's dedicated IT hire
  • Bridges hands-on system administration and systems strategy
  • Works visibly across Finance, Operations, HR, Customer Success, and Sales
  • Gains exposure to multi-location systems, standardization, and M&A integration
  • Has a clear path toward broader leadership as the company grows

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years in systems administration or IT operations, ideally as sole owner of an environment
  • Hands-on administration of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint (Exchange Online, Teams, permissions, security and compliance)
  • Identity and access management (Entra ID / Azure AD), MFA, and least-privilege provisioning
  • Endpoint and device management, asset inventory, and standardization experience
  • Track record of standing up ticketing, documentation, and IT processes from scratch
  • Self-directed; sets priorities and drives work forward with limited oversight
  • Experience managing vendors and external MSPs
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a services-based, field services, or facilities services business
  • Experience in an acquisition-driven environment, including systems integration and M&A IT
  • Familiarity with Azure SQL and Power BI administration
  • VOIP administration experience (3cx & Sangoma or comparable)
  • Experience building automation for repetitive workflows (Power Automate or similar)
  • Relevant certifications (Microsoft 365 / Azure, CompTIA Security+, ITIL) a plus

Why This Role Matters
This role is critical to S&K's ability to scale responsibly. By owning IT operations, security, and standardization, it protects the business and builds the discipline needed to grow organically and through acquisition. It is a foundational role with meaningful ownership today and a runway into technology leadership tomorrow.
