SportsMed Physical Therapy is seeking an Intake Coordinator to join our team. This person will have a key role within the organization as the first point of contact for our patients. We are looking for someone who strives for excellence on a daily basis. The right person for this position will embody a customer service mindset and have a passion for delivering exceptional patient experiences.
 
The Intake Coordinator's primary responsibility will be the timely intake of new patient referrals. This person will ensure that all insurance verifications/prior authorizations are completed, and all documentation and data and completed and entered in an accurate manner. Responsibilities
  • The Intake Coordinator will facilitate the patient referral process by coordinating with our offices regarding verification and handling financial counseling.
  • Coordinate with providers, physicians, and other team members to effectively execute the referral process.
  • Communicate referral process to patients in a customer-centric way.
  • Obtains necessary information from referral sources to ensure incoming patients have timely intake.
  • Maintains a log for all incoming calls and returns referral inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Educates prospective patients, families, and physicians regarding available services.
  • Serves as a liaison between clinical and marketing staff.
