Intake Coordinator
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC)
Kansas City, MO
Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate, organized, and mission-driven Intake Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking recovery and rehabilitation services. This position plays a vital role in helping transform lives by coordinating admissions, conducting eligibility assessments, maintaining records, providing beneficiary support, and building strong community partnerships.

What You'll Do
Intake & Admissions
  • Conduct applicant eligibility assessments through referrals, phone inquiries, and walk-in appointments.
  • Complete intake documentation, consent forms, and admissions paperwork.
  • Coordinate applicant reservations and admissions into the ARC program.
  • Maintain accurate electronic applicant and beneficiary records.
  • Follow up with applicants regarding program eligibility and participation.
  • Complete initial property inventories for incoming beneficiaries.

Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain confidential records and required program documentation.
  • Coordinate releases of information with courts, probation, parole, and community partners.
  • Ensure compliance with ARC policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
  • Maintain medication records and information management documentation.

Beneficiary Support
  • Assist beneficiaries with medication, insurance, and healthcare-related needs.
  • Support Medicaid enrollment and renewal processes.
  • Help coordinate Telehealth appointments and virtual court appearances.
  • Connect beneficiaries with community resources and referral partners.

Community Outreach & Partnerships
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations and referral agencies.
  • Conduct weekly outreach activities to promote ARC program services.
  • Coordinate open houses and community engagement events.
  • Maintain current referral resources and community partnership information.

Data & Reporting
  • Track admissions, reservations, and census information.
  • Review statistical data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in data quality review processes and reporting activities.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Conduct and document intake testing procedures.
  • Maintain intake office supplies and hygiene kits.
  • Support the mission and ministry of The Salvation Army.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Skills & Experience
  • Strong computer and data entry skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
