Job description

Profile: A detail-oriented events coordinator with specific experience usig salesforce and preparing for events using Cvent, managing data accuracy and slicing data for reporting and other event needs. Strong excel skills and ability to prepare powerpoint decks although the major need is data/reporting and coordination. The selected person must take ownership and be accountable for tasks, monitoring event inboxes and responding with solid grammar/writing skills. Will be responsible for cleaning data, regularly, to avoid name misspelling and other errors.
Position Summary
The Events Data Associate will serve as a key analytical and operational resource for ***'s Governance and Events Team, providing data management and reporting support across a suite of event platforms. The ideal candidate combines strong data skills with events operations experience - someone who is equally comfortable pulling a Salesforce report, cleaning registration data in Cvent, and building a Power BI dashboard.
Core platforms include: Salesforce (membership and committee records), Cvent (event registration, session management, and webpages), Attendee Hub (conference mobile app), Tableau, Power BI, Smartsheets, and SurveyMonkey.
Essential Responsibilities
Analytics & Reporting
• Generate and distribute event attendee reports from Cvent; conduct data cleaning to ensure registration accuracy and resolve record discrepancies.
• Produce pre- and post-event overviews capturing key metrics: member status, geography, professional segmentation, and attendance trends.
• Send weekly registration tracking reports as events approach.
• Create ad hoc reports from Cvent and Salesforce supporting analytical projects, data integrations, and marketing campaigns.
• Build and maintain a data dashboard in Power BI.
Data Management & Platform Administration
• Enter and maintain event session data across Cvent (website, speaker management) and Attendee Hub (mobile app).
• Assist with event registration setup in Cvent, including custom registration paths for VIP groups.
• Configure and manage the Cvent Abstract module for call-for-proposals workflows and submission reviews.
• Review and update Client Committee records in Salesforce.
• Maintain Smartsheets for data collection and committee tracking.
• Set up and manage session monitoring and evaluations via SurveyMonkey and Signup.
Coordination & Communications
• Monitor and respond to event inboxes with professionalism and clear written communication.
• Support the expense reimbursement process for Committee members and main stage speakers.
• Maintain and update the speaker resource portal in Cvent.
• Provide support materials for committee meetings and kickoff presentations.
• Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring processes.

• Advanced Excel - data cleaning, pivot tables, formulas
• Strong written communication - clear, professional inbox and stakeholder correspondence
