QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrates proficiency by passing the clerical skills tests
  • Internal candidates must have passed Clerical Basics & Skyward exams
  • External candidates must pass Clerical Basics & Skyward exams within the probationary period
  • Skyward experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Positive outlook toward the school corporation, the school, and co-workers
  • Exhibits a pleasant disposition and demonstrates ability to work with students, staff, and public
  • Successful interview with Building Administrators
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serves as confidential secretary to CTE assistant principal
  • Order supplies for CTE office
  • Acquire/maintain technology skills needed for the position
  • Answer all incoming telephone calls, take messages, and relay information to appropriate personnel
  • Utilize Skyward to access student and course information for Career and Technical Education
  • Collaborate with CTE teachers and CTE Assistant Principal to collect and input data accurately
  • Work with the Assistant Principal of CTE to maintain records of district and program advisory committees, rosters, agendas, and meeting minutes
  • Assist with maintaining accurate records of industry certifications, work based learning, and dual credit data
  • Assist with the application and registration process for high school students participating in dual credit courses, including the data collection of pre-requisite data
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding CTE
  • Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records of all materials and equipment purchased through federal, state, and local grants
  • Assist with maintaining an informational slide show to be shared on CTE monitors in the hall.
  • Complete work orders for CTE center
  • Maintains schedule for CTE Assistant Principal
  • Assist where needed during special events
  • Keeps updated building fire & tornado disaster plan for CTE center. Assure proper signage is in each classroom
  • Other work as assigned by the Building Administrator
