They facilitate the smooth flow of goods across borders by handling customs documentation, resolving issues, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of customs requirements. The Customs Specialist plays a critical role in minimizing delays and maximizing efficiency in customs clearance. Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and review customs documentation, including import and export declarations. Ensure compliance with customs regulations, including tariff classification, valuation, and country of origin requirements. Coordinate with internal teams, clients, customs brokers, and government agencies to resolve customs-related issues. Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and procedures. Stay informed about changes in customs regulations, trade agreements, and industry practices. Perform audits and reviews to assess compliance with customs requirements.
