DHL Global Forwarding manages the flow of goods and information across a customer's global supply chain utilizing air/ocean/ground transportation, customs brokerage services, and dedicated warehousing/distribution centers. We are part of DHL Group, the world's leading logistics provider with operations in over 220 countries.
Tasks:
Ensures all policies and procedures are consistently upheld (DGF Corporate and Customer)
Facilitate flow of information between customer & DGF
Interact with DGF team members at all DGF stations handling customer's entries
Participate in meetings with customer and DGF
Response to inquiries from DGF processing stations, tracking of these responses
Reporting and resolution of Assists as provided by the customer
Identify and correct compliance issues discovered on transaction audit.
Assist in maintenance of product database
Ensure successful recordkeeping compliance rates through quarterly audits.
Follow-up on all records not found and obtain.
Produce reports for customer using customer's systems and databases
Identify and challenge invoice discrepancies
Collaborate with customer's compliance team and facilities for part and item information, part drawings
Prepare annual blanket forms used by broker (DOT, TSCA, Bearing etc.) for signature by customer
Prepare manufacturer affidavits for customer's suppliers/dealers for signature by customer
Other tasks as assigned
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Skills and Qualifications:

Ability to learn, follow instructions and apply knowledge across variety of circumstances
Ability to identify and challenge invoice discrepancies
Understanding of binding rulings and customs regulations
Utilize Microsoft Outlook to send and respond to email messages, compose message, use rules and alerts to prioritize work, use folders to organize messages, save and archive email messages, create and edit tasks
Strong computer skills, including the use of templates in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
Utilize Microsoft I-Share to open, navigate, and upload documents
HS diploma or GED required
Bachelors degree preferred or minimum 2 years of experience in customs brokerage
Have or obtain NCBFFA Certified Customs Specialist certification within 2 years in position
Have or obtain Customs Brokerage License within 2 years in position
Knowledge:
Knowledge and understanding of DGF Best Practices, Import Manual, Harmonized Tariff System and 19 CFR
Knowledge and awareness of DGF Systems (Alliance, Corporate Intranet, I-Share)
Have clear understanding of regulatory requirements that are inherent to the specific customer industry or commodity
Pay Range: $22.91 - $30.55/hr. (Based on Experience)
