Job Summary:
PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a Data Operations Specialist to support the daily movement and management of flight test data across multiple test sites and network environments. The selected candidate will assist in transferring large volumes of data, monitoring transfer status, and ensuring data is delivered accurately and on schedule to support engineering and test operations.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Perform daily data movement of flight test data across multiple test sites and data repositories.
โ€ข Monitor large data transfers across network connections to ensure successful delivery.
โ€ข Verify data integrity and completeness after transfer.
โ€ข Track data transfer status, logs, and queues.
โ€ข Assist with cataloging and organizing data from multiple test venues.
โ€ข Support troubleshooting of data transfer issues and connectivity problems.
โ€ข Follow established processes to ensure consistent handling of flight test data.
โ€ข Coordinate with team members to ensure timely availability of data for engineering analysis.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Large file data movement and transfer operations
โ€ข Secure file transfer protocols
โ€ข Network-based data transfer monitoring
โ€ข Linux or Unix file system navigation
โ€ข Data transfer logging and status tracking
โ€ข Data integrity verification following transfer
โ€ข Multi-site data distribution
โ€ข Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
โ€ข 4+ year experience working with data transfer, data operations, or technical systems.
โ€ข 4+ years managing large datasets and high-volume file transfers.
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience supporting flight test or engineering data environments.
โ€ข Familiarity with secure networks and technical data systems.
โ€ข Experience working in Linux-based environments.
