Customer Sales Representative 

Full-time Hours

Based out of Cheboygan, Michigan

JOB PURPOSE:  

This role will focus on delivering exceptional customer service, while identifying sales opportunities to grow Blarney Castle’s wholesale business and enhance the customer’s experience. In addition, this position will receive and process customer orders promptly and accurately via in-person, telephone, or email. You will facilitate orders for installation, removal, and ongoing maintenance of BCOC services, billing, service complaints, and miscellaneous inquiries. Office and procedure organization will be a focus, along with timely and accurate communication of information received from customers to ensure Superior Super Service to all customers.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Previous office experience is necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A customer-first mindset with a passion for helping others.
  • Proven ability to meet sales goals and work independently.
  • Comfortable use of Office Suite, with a basic understanding of Excel.
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and problem-solving ability
  • Attention to detail, accompanied by accurate data entry skills are also necessary.

MAJOR DUTIES:  

  • Be the forward-facing representative of Blarney Castle Oil Co., to create a welcoming, helpful and professional customer experience throughout every interaction.
  • Actively engage with both new and returning customers to understand their needs and offer products or services that will help drive sales and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to generate new business, including but not limited to, reaching out to passive or prospective customers, follow up on leads, and promote offers available.
  • Upsell and cross-sell products and services by recommending upgrades, add-ons, or services that will enhance the customer’s usage or preferences.
  • Promptly respond to inquiries via phone, email, or in-person while maintaining a solution-oriented, and positive attitude.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service details, and sales opportunities.
  • Monitor customer accounts to identify patterns in usage and propose services or products that will drive value to the company.
  • Stay current on product offers, promotions, surrounding competition’s services, to ensure delivery of relevant information to new and existing customers.
  • Accurately review and record orders received via telephone, fax, or in-person and follows up promptly with customers.
  • Keeps an open line of communication with Dispatch to communicate order details.
  • Processes new account information received by telephone.
  • Enters customer data in the database, ensuring that information is complete and accurate.
  • Provides general company and procedure information to new customers.

Projects: 

  • Assists with department projects as needed.
    • Entry level projects may include the following:
    • Serving as Receptionist for the assigned office.
  • UG tank testing, protection certification, lease fees, LARA reports, and record keeping
  • Ignite billing, inventory logging, pricing inventory, and corrections

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  1. Work is normally performed in a home office, climate-controlled office, or C-Store environment. Work may be outside on occasion or at other BCOC facilities.
  2. Public interaction and group speaking.
  3. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  4. Prolonged periods standing and walking while conducting field work.
  5. Regular telephone and face-to-face communication, Teams.
  6. Physical ability to reach and lift up to approximately 15 pounds occasionally.
