Job description

Customer Contact

As a Customer Contact in the Oil Free Air Division within Atlas Copco's Compressor Technique business area, you play a pivotal role in bridging production planning and customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the Divisional Project Leader, you will be entrusted with comprehensive responsibility for monitoring, managing, and releasing production work orders in strict alignment with established schedules and manufacturing constraints.

In this multifaceted role, you will actively develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules to ensure seamless workflow and timely delivery, while maximizing resource utilization. You will prioritize production orders, coordinate preparation activities, and work continuously with shop-floor personnel to gain real-time insights into production statuses.

  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional production planning meetings to assess schedules, identify risks, and manage capacity constraints effectively.
  • Maintain up-to-date, accurate production schedules and deliver comprehensive, timely status updates to both internal teams and external customers, fostering transparency and reliability.
  • Expertly manage customer orders within SAP and related planning systems, ensuring order accuracy and dependable delivery commitments that align with customer expectations.
  • Coordinate closely with suppliers and vendors to expedite critical materials, monitor priorities, and ensure all components needed for production are available on time.
  • Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Operations, Quality, Logistics, and Inventory Control to proactively identify bottlenecks, implement corrective measures, and support product lifecycle management including phase-ins, phase-outs, and pilot production.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing planning accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction, always aligned with Atlas Copco's Safety First policy and quality, environmental, and energy efficiency standards.

This role is crucial in maintaining a smooth interface between Manufacturing execution and Customer Centers, ensuring that production activities support the business goals and uphold the high standards of Atlas Copco Compressors LLC.

  • Demonstrated experience in production planning and scheduling, ideally within manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, especially SAP S/4HANA, is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent organizational skills combined with attention to detail and reliability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, to support reporting and documentation.
