Job Description

ProSidian Seeks a Lead Information Support and Program Administrator (1) in 1 to support an engagement for a branch of the United States Armed Forces that is concerned with the United States' policies regarding naval warfare, power projection, nuclear deterrence, and engineering.ย 

The ProSidian Engagement Team Members work to Contract service support is needed to provide a high level of technical and functional expertise regarding requirements, processes, reporting, and published guidance within the general constraints of Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) academic policy and guidelines. The support services shall provide a cross-functional team that can deliver services in all of the primary areas of the NPS.

The primary functions include providing information support and program administration, providing a knowledgeable and effective interface between Nucelar Power School (NNPS) and NPS to facilitate records of NNPS graduates, and transferring this information to NPS, ensuring all NNPS graduates from 2001 to the present (currently the program has 54 students) and their commands are aware of the 572 Program.

Lead Information Support and Program Administrator Candidates shall work to support requirements for Program Support and primary role is to provide support to a information support and program administration project by managing the 572 program. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Providing information and technical support of the 572 curriculum with Program Managers located at NPS.
  • Assisting with general marketing efforts to make students and graduates aware of the 572 program.
  • Providing information and coordination of technical support of the 572 program with all stakeholders involved in the program.
  • Maintaining liason with Navy commands in the project areas.
  • Regularly interfacing with NPS Admissions and Registrar Office.
  • Providing reports and follow-up briefs frequently.
  • Experience with the Naval Nuclear Officer Community, including NNPS and NPS graduates, as well as career paths of surface and submarine nuclear officers.
  • Experience with delivering asynchronus programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Have advanced experience with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must have strong presentation skills and be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • You may be required to obtain and maintain an interim and final security clearance before entrance on duty.

Qualifications

The Lead Information Support and Program Administrator shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Power point) and related tools and technology required for the position.ย  Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

A bachelor's degree is required with at least three years work experience in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience and training. Additional required experience and qualifications include:

  • Experience in Marketing and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and working experience with educational systems and distance learning curriculums.
  • Experience of the Naval Nuclear Officer Community, particularly the training they have to go through at NNPS.
  • Working knowledge of Educational Application Management System or similar, distance learning, and online course software.

TRAVEL:ย  Travel as coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.

LOCATION:ย  Work shall be conducted at Bangor Base, WA and Charleston, SC.

  • U.S.ย  Citizenship Required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe).
  • All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a "Facility Access Authorization" (also referred to as an "Employment Authorization") by the USG's designated Security Office.
