PhD, PhD - Social WorkThe Carver School of Social Work is seeking applicants for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Social Work in the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Program. This is an in-person, 9-month, tenure-track faculty position located on the main campus in Campbellsville, Kentucky.Job DescriptionThis is a 9-month, tenure-track, in-person Assistant/Associate Professor position in the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Program. Responsibilities include undergraduate course instruction, course development, serving as course lead for assigned courses, academic advising and mentoring of students, student recruitment, curriculum development, assessment and accreditation activities, and service commensurate with the mission of the University. Faculty are expected to be actively engaged in campus life and university events and demonstrate a strong commitment to student success.
The successful candidate will primarily teach undergraduate social work courses, with opportunities to teach across the curriculum based on program needs and faculty expertise.
Faculty are expected to maintain an active program of scholarship and professional engagement and participate in service to the University, the profession, and the community consistent with expectations for tenure and promotion.
This position reports to the Dean and the BSW Program Director in the Carver School of Social Work.
We seek a collaborative, innovative, and student-centered faculty member committed to advancing social work practice with individuals, families, groups, communities, and organizations. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching and a commitment to mentoring students while contributing to the continued growth of the Carver School of Social Work.
The qualified applicant will possess the ability to teach courses across the BSW curriculum, with preference given to candidates experienced in teaching social work practice courses. Preference will also be given to candidates with experience teaching in online and hybrid learning environments and demonstrated proficiency with instructional technology.
The successful candidate should demonstrate a teaching philosophy consistent with the mission and values of the Carver School of Social Work and Campbellsville University.

Earned doctorate in Social Work or a related field.
Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a CSWE-accredited program.
Minimum of two years of post-MSW practice experience in a social work practice setting.
Graduate-level social work license in good standing.
At least two years of full-time teaching experience in a regionally accredited BSW or MSW program.
Experience with CSWE assessment and accreditation activities.
Experience advising and mentoring undergraduate students.
Experience teaching in multiple instructional modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online environments.
Evidence of scholarly productivity and ongoing professional engagement.
Experience participating in curriculum development and program assessment.
