Job Description Centurion Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Training & Curriculum Development Specialist to support a critical U.S. Space Force training mission in Aurora, Colorado. This position will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing formal training programs supporting Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS) Block 20 Ground Systems and operational spacecrew training
The ideal candidate brings extensive operational experience with SBIRS Block 20 ground operations, a strong background in military instructional design, and expertise developing formal training products in accordance with U.S. Space Force standards. This role requires close collaboration with government personnel to ensure training programs remain operationally relevant, standardized, and compliant with current doctrine and mission requirements
Responsibilities Develop, update, and maintain curriculum and instructional materials supporting SBIRS Block 20 Ground Systems operations. Apply Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodology to design, revise, and improve military training programs. Assist the Government with the development, review, publication, and maintenance of formal training documentation, including: Student Training Records Training Standardization Guidance Consolidated Task Lists (CTLs) Training and Evaluation Performance Standards (TEPS) Plans of Instruction (POIs) Training System Requirements Analyses (TSRAs) System Training Plans (STPs) Master Task Lists (MTLs) Weapon System Volumes Ready Spacecrew Program Tasking Memoranda (RTMs) Realistic Training Review Boards (RTRBs) Operations Checklists Support the development and execution of instructor-led and simulator-based training.
Utilize the Standard Space Trainer (SST) to conduct instruction and evaluate crew proficiency. Assist with simulator verification, validation, deficiency identification, documentation, and corrective action recommendations. Develop realistic operational training scenarios incorporating intelligence products, adversary threat information, and mission-specific requirements.
Ensure training products comply with U.S. Space Force regulations, training standards, evaluation criteria, and crew force management requirements. Maintain training records and course administration utilizing Patriot Excalibur (PEX) or equivalent MAJCOM-approved training management systems
Collaborate with government personnel to continuously improve course effectiveness and mission readiness. Required Qualifications Active Top Secret security clearance. Minimum of three (3) years of curriculum development and instructional experience within a Department of Defense or U.S
Space Force environment. Minimum of three (3) years of direct operational or instructional experience supporting SBIRS Block 20 Ground Systems. Experience applying Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies within a formal military training environment.
Experience instructing using the Standard Space Trainer (SST) or supporting simulator-based instruction. Working knowledge of U.S. Space Force training and evaluation regulations, documentation standards, and crew force management processes
Direct operational experience with: SBIRS Block 20 Ground Systems Satellite Command and Control Ground Segment Operations Mission Delta 4 operations Experience supporting one or more SBIRS Block 20 crew positions, including: Satellite Crew Chief (SCCH) Satellite Systems Operator (SSO) Ground Crew Chief (GCCH) Ground Systems Operator (GSO) Mission Officer in Charge (MSN OIC) Mission Crew Chief (MCCH) Data Systems Operator (DSO) Preferred Qualifications Previous certification as an Instructor/Evaluator (I/E) within Mission Delta 4 or an equivalent Space Delta organization. Experience developing Combat Training scenarios utilizing intelligence products and adversary threat data. Experience supporting simulator verification, validation, testing, and deficiency reporting.
Experience utilizing Patriot Excalibur (PEX) or another MAJCOM-approved training records management system. Prior experience supporting operational testing, training modernization, or formal military course development.
