Job Description: 

The Café Cook is required to lead by example through hands-on involvement of all aspects of Café  production and service. The café Cook must always represent the Executive Chef’s core values on Quality, Sanitation and fair treatment of all associates. The Café  Cook  is responsible for maintaining the clean, organized and efficient workplace that has been implemented by the Executive Chef and Chef De Cuisine. The café  cook will report directly to the Chef De Cuisine, Banquet Chef and/or Chef Tournant

Job Requirements:

Maintain professional relations with associates, treating them with respect and holding accountable, in line with the Kitchen and Hotel standards.

Leadership:

Demonstrate open communication between kitchen and front of house.

Demonstrate open communication between the café team and the rest of the culinary team.

Instill a calm, organized approach in all situations or conflicts.

Display excellent communication and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours, with frequent bending and squatting.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds regularly throughout shift.
  • Ability to read and follow recipes.
