Position Summary
As a Cook II, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality food in one of Arizona's premier entertainment venues. This mid-level culinary position is ideal for cooks who have solid kitchen experience and are ready to take on more responsibility while continuing to grow their culinary skills.
You'll prepare menu items with consistency and precision, work multiple stations as needed, and help ensure every guest enjoys an outstanding dining experience.
What You'll Do
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, menus, and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
  • Ensure food is prepared, held, and served at proper temperatures.
  • Rotate, label, date, and store products using FIFO procedures.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized workstations throughout each shift.
  • Communicate inventory needs and food quality concerns with kitchen leadership.
  • Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing deliveries.
  • Support fellow team members and work multiple kitchen stations when needed.
  • Complete opening, closing, and cleaning procedures.
  • Help create an efficient, positive, and team-focused kitchen environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For
  • At least 1 year of culinary experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
  • Experience preparing premium-quality food.
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow recipes, prep lists, timelines, and written instructions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality in an event-driven environment.
  • Valid Maricopa County Food Handler's Card (or ability to obtain one before employment).

Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift more with assistance.
  • Work comfortably in varying temperatures, including kitchens, coolers, and storage areas.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on the event schedule.
