Job description

Varstaff is looking for a Buyer III:
Job Description
  • Manage suppliers and procurement activities to support spaceflight systems development for Blue Origin.
  • Prepare Requests for Proposal/Quote (RFP/RFQ), perform price analyses, and develop negotiation strategies.
  • Create and manage various contract types, including long-term strategic agreements (LTAs), FFP, T&M, and cost-type contracts.
  • Own the full procurement lifecycle from requisition through final invoice resolution.
  • Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of production materials meeting all technical performance requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), AS9100 standards, and engineering data/specifications.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, prioritization, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-have:
  • Aerospace/Space industry experience (specifically Avionics or Fluids components).
  • Understanding of ITAR/EAR regulations.
  • CPSM, CSCP, or PMP certification.
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Jira, and SharePoint.

Education:
