About Our Client

Our client is a leading North American manufacturer and integrated solutions provider in the commercial equipment and specialty chemistry space, serving convenience stores, retail operators, automotive dealerships, and fleet operators.


The Opportunity

Lead the day-to-day operations of the supply chain team supporting a chemistry production facility, overseeing sourcing, chemical raw material logistics, packaging components, and the supplies feeding mixing and blending operations. Manage a team of purchasing leads and inbound/outbound logistics and inventory leads, while partnering with the corporate supply management group on strategic sourcing and cost savings initiatives.


Core Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a factory-based supply chain team; set goals, coach, and drive accountability.
  • Develop sourcing strategies for chemical raw materials, surfactants, solvents, fragrances, and packaging.
  • Drive cost, quality, and delivery targets; track multi-year cost reduction plans.
  • Manage supplier relationships, competitive quoting, and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and SDS/GHS standards for chemical handling and storage.
  • Oversee inventory control, dock operations, and ERP-driven data accuracy.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and finance.


Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Business, or equivalent certification (CPSM, CSCP); strong career progression may substitute for a degree.
  • 5–7 years in supply chain or procurement, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Chemical raw material sourcing experience in a process industry strongly desired.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills with a track record of cost savings.
  • Experience in a matrix structure and proficiency with ERP/procurement systems preferred.
