CONTRACTS & RISK MANAGEMENT MANAGER

About the Role

The Contracts & Marketing Specialist manages the full contract lifecycle while supporting business development, marketing, and operational initiatives. This role partners with Operations, Project Management, Finance, Legal, and Business Development to ensure contracts are reviewed, negotiated, tracked, and administered to minimize risk, maintain compliance, and maximize revenue opportunities.

The position oversees contract capacity, funding, backlog, renewals, amendments, option years, and key milestones for MSAs, IDIQs, on-call, and other multi-year agreements. It also supports proposal development, qualifications packages, and marketing efforts while improving contract administration through process improvements, reporting, and technology solutions.

The ideal candidate combines contract management expertise with strong business acumen, analytical skills, and marketing support experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Management, Legal Studies, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Three (3)+ years of experience in contract administration, contract management, business operations, marketing coordination, or related field.
  • Experience with professional services, engineering, construction, or consulting contracts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, contract management, or document management systems.
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or similar certification.
  • Experience supporting AEC firms.
  • Knowledge of public procurement and federal contracting.
  • Experience administering MSAs, IDIQs, and on-call contracts.
  • Proposal and qualifications (SOQ) development experience.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management systems, workflow automation, ERP, CRM, and reporting tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Contract Administration

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and administer contracts, amendments, task orders, subcontracts, NDAs, and related agreements.
  • Identify contractual, financial, and compliance risks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with project managers, finance, legal, and leadership throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Monitor deliverables, insurance requirements, and contract obligations.

Contract Tracking & Forecasting

  • Maintain contract records, capacity, funding, backlog, renewals, option years, and key milestones.
  • Track contract utilization, burn rates, funded amounts, and expiration dates.
  • Support forecasting, resource planning, and executive reporting.
  • Prepare dashboards and reports on contract status, backlog, renewals, and revenue opportunities.

Business Operations & Process Improvement

  • Improve contract administration processes through standardization and automation.
  • Maintain contract data within ERP, CRM, and project management systems.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools that improve visibility and decision-making.
  • Support implementation of contract lifecycle management and reporting technologies.

Proposal & Marketing Support

  • Support proposals and assist the Marketing team with responses to proposals, SOQs, and business development submissions.
  • Review solicitation and contract requirements for compliance.
  • Maintain resumes, project profiles, marketing collateral, and client references.
  • Support branding, client engagement, strategic pursuits, and contract renewal efforts.

Technical Skills
