Essential Functions
- Evaluate and approve credit applications; set appropriate credit limits and terms
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and manage collection of past-due accounts
- Oversee issuance of preliminary notices and mechanics liens in accordance with the California laws.
- Develop and enforce credit policies
- Negotiate payment plans and resolve billing discrepancies
- Prepare reports as necessary
- Manage and train staff
Qualifications
- 5+ years of credit management experience in manufacturing or construction industry
- Knowledge of California preliminary notice and mechanics lien laws
- Strong mathematical, analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills
- Knowledge of the EDI process with mass resellers such as Home Depot and large-scale B2B accounts
- Experience with ERP systems and AR reporting tools
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Proven ability to balance risk management with customer service
