Job description

Key to the effort in building a global Internet TV network is the ability to grow and evolve our revenue-generating initiatives across the globe. We continue to introduce new commerce models, pricing strategies, and other opportunities to grow the business and this leader will have the chance to join the growing team of finance experts who support them. Our Revenue team is currently looking for a Credit and Collections Manager to build and develop a sophisticated and best-in-class credit management environment to ensure smooth and efficient business operations. This newly created position will look to solve complex issues across our B2B Revenue verticals, such as Advertising, Partnerships, and Consumer Products, and partner with multiple cross-functional teams to establish and scale our credit (and related) policies and workflows. This role will be based in the United States but will work cross-functionally across many time zones with our US and other international offices.

The perfect candidate will be hands-on and very detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, be capable of multitasking, and take the initiative to implement efficient and scalable policies and procedures.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

  • Partner with Revenue Accounting and other business leads to design and implement credit policies for multiple revenue and payment streams, including ads, partnerships, payment processors, and consumer products.

  • Implement tools and solutions (1st and/or 3rd party) to enable a highly automated and scalable credit and risk management process.

  • Integrate with and lead the AR and Collections team and related workflows to ensure an efficient and cohesive operational model.

  • Manage the processing of customer credit, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate customer credit records, using ERP systems such as Workday and other systems.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams during the negotiation phase of large deals with a focus on minimizing DSO.

  • Develop, design, and lead the process for customer inquiries and customer monitoring related to credit and collections, providing prompt and effective solutions.

  • Develop and implement processes for credit and collections metrics and strategies to ensure optimal performance.

  • Perform detailed tracking and analysis of credit and cash collections and collaborate with internal accounting teams to ensure proper treatment under US GAAP.

  • Support monthly accounting close activities as needed.

  • Identify process gaps and drive projects to simplify and automate manual workflows.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years of relevant experience - credit management experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance-related field.

  • Proven project management experience and demonstrated ability to develop a process from the ground up and iteratively improve the process to enable scale and efficiency.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience developing and mentoring others.

  • Experience leading a geographically dispersed team inclusive of an AR and Collections function in a lower cost location.

  • Advanced Excel experience with the ability to navigate large data sets.

  • Experience with cloud based ERP systems. Workday Financials a plus!

  • Experience with other Credit-related 3rd party systems and ticketing tools is a plus.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $160,000 - $470,000.
