Come be a part of what's next. Manager, Motion Design, Brand Creative Studio THE ROLE We are seeking a Manager, Motion Design to join the Brand Creative Studio. This role is a hands-on motion designer responsible for developing and executing motion systems across a wide range of brand and marketing initiatives, including the Netflix Brand, Netflix House, Product Marketing, and Corporate Communications.

This role sits across both Core Design and Production Design, bridging high-level creative development and large-scale execution. The focus is on translating brand strategy, creative direction, and design systems into scalable motion outputs across channels, formats, and markets. You will play a critical role in defining how motion design operates within Brand Creative Studio, contributing to both concept development and high-volume execution.

You will partner closely with cross-functional teams and external agencies to ensure motion work is delivered with clarity, craft, and consistency. A strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in motion design across campaigns, systems thinking, and multi-format execution is required. THE TEAM The Netflix Brand Creative Studio (BCS) is our in-house team of Strategists, Creatives, Designers, Producers, and Program Managers.

We are the creative collective behind Netflix's most high-profile brand initiatives, developing work that builds passionate fandoms and shapes how the world connects with our brand. Our mission is to strengthen the Netflix brand and drive business value by creating culturally relevant marketing that is as entertaining as our shows, films, games, and experiences. Our studio serves as a centralized partner for a wide range of business-critical areas-spanning Global Brand and Brand Partnerships, Ads, Consumer Products, and live experiences like Netflix House.

As Netflix continues to expand into new business units, formats, and physical experiences, the volume and complexity of design output across the company continues to grow. To support this scale, BCS is evolving its operating model to include a dedicated production design team focused on speed, systems, and consistency, without compromising craft. RESPONSIBILITIES Motion Design & Creative Development Contribute to the development of motion concepts and creative direction across campaigns, helping define how motion enhances storytelling and brand expression Partner with designers and creative leads to integrate motion into early-stage concept development Ensure motion solutions are aligned with brand strategy and creative intent across all touchpoints Scalable Motion Systems & Production Translate creative direction and brand systems into scalable motion frameworks, templates, and toolkits Develop motion systems that can be applied across formats including social, digital, video, DOOH, and experiential environments Support high-volume production needs, including lower-funnel assets such as banners, cutdowns, and performance-driven creative Cross-Functional Creative Support Serve as a motion design partner to teams across Brand, Netflix House, Product Marketing, Ads, and Corporate Communications Ensure motion work is fit-for-purpose across different audiences, channels, and business needs Agency & Partner Management Collaborate with and provide direction to external motion vendors and agency partners Ensure external work aligns with Netflix brand standards, motion systems, and production frameworks Support decisions on when work should be executed internally versus externally Quality, Craft & Workflow Development Maintain a high bar for motion design quality across all outputs Help define workflows, file structures, and best practices for motion production at scale Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through templates, systems, and tooling Stay current on motion design trends, tools, and emerging technologies QUALIFICATIONS 10+ years of experience in motion design within a creative agency, design studio, or scaled in-house brand team An exceptional portfolio demonstrating motion design across brand, campaign, and digital work Strong foundation in design, with the ability to contribute to broader visual systems beyond motion Experience working across a wide range of formats, including social, digital, video, OOH, and experiential Proven experience building motion templates, toolkits, or systems that support high-volume production Experience managing and directing external vendors and agency partners Proficiency in After Effects, Premiere, Cinema 4D, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with scalable production workflows Strong collaboration skills with experience working across cross-functional teams Ability to move fluidly between concept development and hands-on execution Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving workflows in a fast-paced environment A hands-on designer who can contribute directly to the work while helping shape how motion is executed at scale Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses.

You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $198,000.00 - $310,000.00

We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
