Job description

Director, Creative & Studio Operations

Description -

As the Director, Creative & Studio, you will lead the strategy and day-to-day operations of HP's studio and broader agency ecosystem, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, on-brand creative at scale. In this role, you'll guide cross-functional teams and external partners, manage both agency and internal relationships, and oversee core operational functions including budgeting, forecasting, and workflow execution. You'll play a key role in aligning creative operations with HP's business priorities, while bringing a strong focus on efficiency, governance, and delivering measurable, high-impact outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop highperforming teams across creative operations, studios, and partner engagements, fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.

  • Act as a senior advisor to marketing and business stakeholders, and to the Senior Director of Creative Operations and NPI translating strategic priorities into executable creative and operational plans

  • Lead senior stakeholder engagement and alignment across Marketing, NPI & Martech serving as a trusted advisor who translates business priorities into clear operating direction, manages expectations, and drives timely resolution of risks and escalations.

  • Operate and scale a highvolume, lowcost studio production model, establishing disciplined prioritization, intake governance, and escalation pathways to balance speed, quality, and cost while ensuring studio resources are deployed against the highestvalue business needs.

  • Own the endtoend management of external agencies and vendors, including onboarding, scope definition, rate cards, contracts, and performance measurement.

  • Ensure agency output aligns to HP brand standards, business objectives, timelines, and financial controls.

  • Build trusted, outcomesfocused agency relationships while driving cost efficiency and value realization.

  • Own annual and inyear budgets for studio and agency operations, including forecasting, accruals, and variance management.

  • Partner with finance to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and disciplined spend management including for cost-neutral staffing

  • Drive cost optimization initiatives while protecting quality, speed, and strategic impact.

  • Performs talent management responsibilities including recruitment, performance management, coaching and career development.


Education & Experience Recommended

  • Experience leading AI and automationenabled transformation across creative, marketing, or studio operations, including workflow automation, intelligent tooling adoption, and process redesign to improve speed, scale, cost efficiency, and operational predictability.

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Typically has 12+ years of job-related and/or management experience, preferably in creative operations, agency management, marketing operations, or related fields
