Familiarity with revenue cycle management software, electronic health records (EHRs), and payer portals is typically required. Recognized as a top place to work in health care, Baptist Health cares for more patients in Northeast Florida than any other provider, ranking as "most preferred" for more than 30 years. We're Jacksonville's only locally governed, faith-based, not-for-profit health system and provide a full spectrum of preventive and specialty care through 200+ locations and six hospitals. Our centers of excellence include Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baptist Heart Hospital, Baptist Neurological Institute and Wolfson Children's Hospital.
Baptist Metro Square is hiring a Revenue Cycle Transplant Coordinator to join our remote team in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time opportunity.
The Transplant & Single Case Agreement (SCA) Revenue Cycle Manager provides end-to-end operational oversight for transplant and SCA accounts across adult and pediatric service lines. This role serves as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for complex, high-value cases, ensuring accurate coverage determination, billing compliance, payer guideline adherence, and timely claims resolution.
Revenue Cycle Transplant Coordinator Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee revenue cycle operations for transplant and SCA accounts from pre-service through final payment
  • Serve as the lead SME for high-dollar, complex transplant and SCA cases
  • Ensure accurate insurance coverage verification, authorization, and reimbursement processes
  • Maintain compliance with payer-specific requirements, regulatory standards, and billing guidelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical departments, Patient Access, Hospital Billing, Payor Strategy, and external vendors
  • Manage multidisciplinary workflows to optimize efficiency and reduce denials or delays
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with transplant and SCA cases
  • Support timely claim submission, follow-up, and resolution to maximize reimbursement
  • Provide guidance and support as transplant programs transition from implementation to steady-state operations

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, with a focus on transplant services or Single Case Agreements
  • Strong knowledge of payer contracts, billing compliance, and reimbursement methodologies
  • Experience working with complex, high-dollar healthcare cases
  • Proven ability to collaborate across clinical, operational, and financial teams
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in both adult and pediatric transplant programs
  • Familiarity with payer negotiation strategies and contract management
  • Certification in healthcare financial management or revenue cycle (e.g., HFMA, CRCR)

This role is critical to ensuring financial integrity and operational excellence within transplant programs. You will play a key role in optimizing reimbursement, maintaining compliance, and supporting life-saving care delivery through effective revenue cycle leadership.
