Cole Engineering Services (CESI), a By Light company, is recognized as a premier provider of modeling and simulation (M&S) training solutions to the Federal Government and industry. Since 2004, CESI has been at the forefront of developing, maintaining, and integrating simulation-based training, serious gaming, technical services, training and other support in live, virtual, constructive, and gaming (LVCG) domains.  CESI also designs, builds and runs infrastructure, platforms, applications and processes that enable cyber training for the integrated multi-domain force. Our vision is to become a worldwide full spectrum LVCG and cyber training/analysis developer, integrator and services provider.

Position Overview

We are looking for cyber warfare training instructors versed in cyber warfare, defensive and offensive cyber operations, cyberspace fundamentals, and related technologies to instruct accession personnel and fleet returnees in cyber mission force operations. The ability to thrive within high pressure situations and drive relevant teams to take the right actions are a must.

Positions are full-time on-site in either Pensacola, FL or Dam Neck, VA.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver technical training in cyber warfare, defensive and offensive cyber operations, cyberspace fundamentals, and related technologies in a structured classroom setting from 0700 to 1600 with occasional after hours or weekend support as necessary to support the mission.
  • Facilitate student engagement through effective instruction and classroom management.
  • Organize rosters, track student progress, and prepare detailed progress reports.
  • Evaluate student assessments and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with senior instructors, engineers, and course developers to align training materials with CIWT's objectives.
  • Maintain currency on course materials and emerging technologies.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and support to students, peers, and developers, helping resolve issues with complex network and platform configurations.
Required Experience/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as information technology, computer science, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university. Six years of relevant experience can be substituted for a bachelor's degree. 
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in technical instruction to military personnel in a structured classroom setting. 
  • Strong understanding of cyber warfare, defensive and offensive cyber operations, and cyberspace fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Experience/Qualifications
  • Experience teaching the following 2000-level training courses: Cyber Defense Analyst-Basic (CDA), Host Analyst (HAC), Network Analyst (NAC), Network Technician (NT), Cyber Threat Emulator (CTEC), Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst Course (CTIAC), Cyberspace Operations Planners Course (COPC).
  • A graduate of CDA, HAC, NAC, NT, CTEC, CTIAC, COPC, or equivalent service cyber school.
  • Experience with Naval Education Training Command, Center for Information Warfare Training, and Information Warfare Training Center instructional policies.
  • Experience using SIEMs, intrusion detection systems, or threat intelligence platforms.
  • Experience using scripting or automation tools to streamline cybersecurity operations or environment setup.
  • Experience with PCTE.
Special Requirements/Security Clearance

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status and a TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to pass a CI polygraph if requested by the customer. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order. 

Occasional travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
