Position Summary: Position offers opportunity for employment in the beautiful mountains of western N.C., working in a professional, collaborative, accounting environment with experienced peers, while also delivering more variety and interaction than most accounting jobs. This position serves as a liaison between the accounting department and other departments within the Club, including food and beverage, golf shop, golf course maintenance, etc. The Club accountant assists with general ledger reconciliations, budget variance monitoring, financial statement preparation, and other ad hoc needs.

This is an ideal position for someone who is cooperative and conscientious, supportive yet precise; someone who can maintain professional relationships while also ensuring rules and procedures are being adhered to.

Outlined below are a few of the duties/responsibilities of this position:

o Perform general ledger functions, including journal entry preparation, for select entities and assist in preparing associated financial statements.

o Performs detailed account analyses and reconciliations.

o Monitors departmental costs, including payroll, in comparison to budget and reports to Controller and/or Department Leaders.

o Understands the operation of the Point of Sale software systems.

o Assists in annual independent audit preparation.


Hours/Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday 8:30A.M. - 5:00 P.M. (April-October); Hours in "off-season" (November-March) are flexible
