Bookkeeper – Country Club

A well-established local country club is seeking an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of our private club. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a hospitality environment and has experience managing member billing, financial reporting, and general bookkeeping.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced with QuickBooks and Toast POS, and able to manage the financial needs of a busy golf, food & beverage, and membership operation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all full-charge bookkeeping functions, including:
    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Bank and credit card reconciliations
    • General ledger maintenance
    • Journal entries
    • Month-end and year-end closing
  • Process and manage member billing through QuickBooks and Toast POS
  • Generate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual member invoices for:
    • Golf fees
    • Food & Beverage charges
    • Membership dues
    • Events and miscellaneous club charges
  • Ensure accurate and timely posting of all member transactions
  • Reconcile daily sales from the clubhouse, restaurant, bar, and golf operations
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management
  • Assist with budgeting and cash flow management
  • Coordinate with external CPA during annual reviews and tax preparation
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure confidentiality

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience required
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks is required
  • Experience using Toast POS is strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in a country club, restaurant, hospitality, golf club, or food & beverage environment is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with management

  • Country Club or Private Club accounting
