BROOKSIDE COUNTRY CLUB
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Private Country Club | Macungie, Pennsylvania
SALARY
$85,000 annually
BENEFITS
Health insurance + 401(k)
STATUS
Full-time
Turn numbers into insight-and insight into better decisions.
Brookside Country Club is seeking an experienced, collaborative Senior Accountant to become an active member of our
leadership team. This is not a back-office role focused only on processing transactions. The Senior Accountant will participate in
the Club's daily financial operations, help department leaders understand their results, and lead clear, practical financial
discussions that support sound decision-making.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Our Club is a dynamic hospitality operation that includes golf, racquets, dining, events, membership, aquatics, grounds, and
facilities. The Senior Accountant will work across these areas, combining hands-on accounting responsibilities with financial
analysis, forecasting, cost management, and operational partnership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage daily accounting activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Maintain accurate financial records, general ledger activity, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash-flow analysis.
• Lead monthly financial discussions by clearly explaining performance, variances, cash position, and emerging trends.
• Develop and maintain rolling six-month financial projections.
• Partner with department heads on budgeting, expense management, cost accounting, and operational decision-making.
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, audit support, tax preparation, and year-end reporting.
• Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements to accounting procedures and financial systems.
• Present financial information in a clear and approachable manner to Club leadership and appropriate committees.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate is more than a processor of financial information. We are seeking a trusted colleague who is comfortable
asking questions, offering insight, and working directly with managers to strengthen financial performance.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• Relevant senior-level accounting experience, preferably in a private club, hospitality, restaurant, resort, nonprofit, or
similarly complex operating environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial
reporting.
• Ability to analyze and clearly communicate cash flow, balance-sheet activity, operating results, and financial projections.
• Experience supporting department leaders with budgeting, cost accounting, and expense management.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and professional judgment.
• Strong communication skills and confidence participating in financial discussions with managers and Club leadership.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

At Brookside, every department contributes to the member experience. The Senior Accountant will have the opportunity to
understand the complete operation, build meaningful relationships with department leaders, and directly influence the Club's
financial strength and long-term success. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, relationship-driven organization where
your work will be visible, valued, and impactful.
