Overview

At Kalamazoo Country Club, our Concierge plays a vital role in shaping the member experience. You'll be at the heart of it all. This position is all about hospitality at its finest: anticipating needs, adding personal touches, and ensuring every interaction leaves a lasting impression. You'll support daily operations across all areas of the club, including dining, golf, events, spa, racquets, fitness, and family activities, while managing communications, reservations, and special requests. From greeting members by name to maintaining a polished, welcoming environment, you'll help define the warmth, excellence, and elevated service that makes Kalamazoo Country Club truly exceptional.

What You'll Be Doing

May include, but not limited to:

  • Providing support to the Membership team in daily operations and across all areas of the club, including Golf, Restaurants, Events, Spa, Family Activities, Racquets, Pool, and Fitness, ensuring every interaction reflects the highest standard of service.

  • Providing a warm, professional welcome and fond farewell to all members and guests, offering assistance with any requests or arrangements - no job is too small!

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for member communications, including phone calls, emails, newsletters, website and calendar updates, and event announcements, making every interaction feel personalized, seamless, and special.

  • Maintaining up-to-date member profiles, including personal preferences, birthdays, and anniversaries, for a tailored and valued member experience.

  • Creating personalized welcome notes and event announcements, updating member profiles and club calendars.

  • Seamlessly managing and coordinating various reservations, including dining, tee time, and event reservations, with other departments to ensure details are accurate and experiences are exceptional.

  • Acting as an expert on club amenities, services, local attractions, events, and dining options. Providing personalized recommendations tailored to member preferences.

  • Serving as a communication link between members and departments.

  • Supporting Club events, tournaments, and special occasions as a front-line ambassador. of the KCC brand. This may include planning, promotion, registration, and logistics.

  • Keeping all service areas, including the lobby, front entrance, workstation, and locker rooms, clean, stocked, welcoming, and reflective of Kalamazoo Country Club's quality standards.

  • Offering personal services such as shoe cleaning, locker assignments, locker assistance, and clothing care when needed.

  • Ensuring member privacy, comfort, and security at all times during their time at the Club.

  • Coordinating with and supporting other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

What You Need for this Position
  • A minimum of one year of experience in the hospitality / service industry, a similar customer-facing role, or a high-end private club setting.

  • Competency using computers, Google business applications, and various club management or reservation software systems.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable engaging with a diverse membership base and a genuine passion for people in every interaction

  • High attention to detail and pride in maintaining a polished, professional environment

  • Service-oriented, empathetic, and skilled at building strong relationships with members and staff.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Resourceful and quick-thinking, handling unexpected situations with professionalism and poise

  • Curious and adaptable, continuously learning to enhance the member experience and ensure every interaction feels valued.

  • Ability to anticipate needs before being asked, making every member feel comfortable and appreciated

  • Ability to be discrete, professional, and caring in every interaction.

  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Pride in the presentation and comfort of every Club space.

  • Act as a true ambassador for the Kalamazoo Country Club member experience.
