Job Title: Counter Sales Representative

Reports to: Branch Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

The Counter Sales Representative will support walk-in customers with plumbing products, special orders, and will be responsible for processing transactions, maintaining counter inventory levels, and ensuring accurate product pick-up.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in identifying their plumbing needs.
  • Provide product recommendations and technical assistance to customers based on their requirements.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
  • Maintain a clean and organized showroom and ensure that all products are properly displayed.
  • Stock shelves and replenish inventory as needed to ensure adequate product availability.
  • Answer customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person, and provide information regarding product pricing, availability, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to fulfill customer orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new product launches, and pricing updates.
  • Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner, striving to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with special promotions, events, and marketing initiatives as needed.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and cash handling guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales targets and provide an exceptional shopping experience for customers.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in plumbing or sales is a plus.
  • Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in a plumbing or home improvement environment.
