SUMMARY:
Assists the Count Team Supervisor in overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of the hard count or soft count team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversees the activities of the count team members to ensure activities are accomplished in an efficient and secure manner.
  • Ensures team members follow all departmental policies and procedures.
  • Organizes the activities of the count team to meet organizational objectives.
  • Trains new team members on count team procedures.
  • Performs the duties of count team member, on the floor and in the count room, as needed.
  • Assigns/receives keys to and from Count Team Members.
  • Responsible for the removal and replacement of cash boxes from the slot machines.
  • Responsible for the placement of cash boxes onto assigned carts.
  • Responsible for removing cash from cash boxes.
  • Responsible for counting cash from the cash boxes.
  • Responsible for removing and counting cash from the cash boxes in the NRT kiosk.
  • Responsible for operating currency counting equipment to count the cash from the cash boxes.
  • Responsible for preparing the necessary paperwork and reports detailing records of the count process.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the count is conducted with the player tracking system operational.
  • Performs other relevant duties as deemed necessary by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months related experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must qualify for a license with the Maryland State Lottery Agency and meet any credentialing requirements of the Maryland Gaming Control Board.
