JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serves as a leader for employees while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation and open communication.ย 
  • Acts as a role model and coaches while developing employees using a consistent, approachable demeanor and clearly articulating expectations.
  • Sets and monitors the pace of the team while performing table game and slot drops.
  • Participates in the hiring process.
  • Works closely with Manager on disciplinary matters.
  • Responsible for supervision and training of staff on designated shift.
  • Responsible to report any issues to Manager regarding counting, recording of currency, overall operation, maintenance of the count room and currency counting equipment.
  • Responsible for compliance with State Lottery Regulations, Internal Controls and Company Policies & Procedures during shift.
  • Some on-call requirements for this role
  • Promotes outstanding customer relations.
  • Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • One (1) year experience in Count Room or high volume money handling environment.ย  Previous Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management.
  • Must be able to obtain and keep a License issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency required of all Gaming Establishment employees.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to lift forty (40) lbs. without difficulty, repeatedly.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time without difficulty.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
