Position Summary:
Gold Rush Gaming is seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Count Room Clerk to join our growing team. The Count Room Clerk plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our financial operations by handling, counting, and reconciling currency collected from Video Gaming Terminals (VGTs) and other sources. This position requires high attention to detail, accuracy, and strict adherence to internal controls and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately count and reconcile currency from VGTs and other revenue sources.
  • Maintain detailed records of all count room transactions.
  • Operate cash-counting machines and ensure proper handling of equipment.
  • Verify accuracy of physical cash against system-generated reports.
  • Safeguard all assets and ensure secure handling and transportation of currency.
  • Ensure all procedures follow company policies, state regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the count room.
  • Report any discrepancies, unusual activity, or suspected fraud immediately to management.
  • Support the auditing process and assist with internal or regulatory reviews when necessary.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by supervisors or managers.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience handling cash in a high-volume environment preferred.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
