Job Overview:

The Soft Count Attendant must be knowledgeable in all aspects of the gaming operation and is responsible for adequately and accurately handling monetary assets of the company during Drop/Count. Must be competent, dependable, and trustworthy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts the drop of slot machines, table games, and kiosk machines
  • Generates End of Day reports used to balance slot machines, table games, and kiosk machines
  • Safeguards company assets when performing the Kiosk and Gaming Floor Drop and Count
  • Operates the Drop Tracking System to accurately record assets
  • Operates the currency counter to accurately record assets from the gaming floor and Kiosk Count
  • Prepares diverse reports in an accurate and timely manner as required
  • Confers regularly with the Soft Count Supervisor to keep informed of all aspects of financial matters, operating procedures, and seeks direction as needed
  • Organizes count processes quickly and records transactions correctly and efficiently
  • Abides by procedures that comply with all applicable laws, policies, and procedures regulating accounting principles including IGB, Federal, and State requirements
  • Ensures that all applicable operating policies and procedures are adhered to at all times without deviation and be extremely knowledgeable of the Minimum Internal Control Standards and Fiscal Policies and Procedures
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)

  • High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
  • One (1) year of high volume cash handling experience preferred
  • Must successfully pass a timed math skills test
  • Experience with accurately handling large monetary transactions and machinery affiliated with the process - preferred
  • Must be able to stand for entire shift
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds with no assistance
  • Must be able to work in bent position for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to push/pull large Drop Carts on wheels weighing 1,100 pounds
  • Must be able to work at a fast and physical pace
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere
  • Demonstrated ability to complete task accurately in allotted time
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
  • Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position
Base Pay:
  • Compensation: $15.00–$20.63 per hour, with starting pay based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and skills.
