Job description

Overview
It is the responsibility of the Soft Count Supervisor to perform functions of the Count Manager in their absence. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company's brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. - Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).
Responsibilities
  • Obtain keys for Soft Count from the Cage and Hotel. Notify Surveillance of beginning of count. Return keys at the end of the shift.
  • Supervise and participate in the Soft Count, insuring the integrity of the count and compliance with Gaming regulations.
  • Give out daily work assignments to count team.
  • Compare final count totals with computer input totals. Upon agreement, turn monies over to the Cage for a final blind count.
  • Generate reports for the end of each shift and at the completion of the 24-hour period.
  • Turn in reports and paperwork to Casino Accounting in a timely manner.
  • Establish a good rapport with the Cage Supervisors, Slot Supervisors and Casino Shift Managers in an effort to deal with problems as they arise.
  • Ensure that the inventory of supplies is adequate and that all machinery is in good working order.
  • Be available for occasional meetings or conferences during the daytime hours.
  • Constant knowledge of Gaming Minimum Internal Control Standards as they relate to the drop and count
  • Constant ability to handle money in a rapid and accurate manner.
  • Help approve payroll.
  • Ability to perform all Soft Count Clerk functions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Soft Count Assistant Supervisor.
  • Soft Count Lead Clerk.
  • Soft Count Clerks.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Ability to manage employees, training and coaching skills with evidence of developing exceptionally motivated teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and articulate.
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required.
  • Ability to use 10 key calculator.
  • Must be able learn and be proficient in Bally's CMP and SDS programs.
  • Must be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming Registration.
  • Minimum age is 21.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years' experience in a soft count environment with at least one year in a lead or supervisory position.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.
  • Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
  • Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.
